Great fun but two out of three for adverstising promises : Mattel Terraniac is the best radio controlled car my son has ever had – by a mile. That said, we tried it after Christmas…in the snow…and it was no go. The back wheel just spun itself a nice little crater. A bit disappointing considering it says boldly on the box that it works on land, snow and water. After packing down a very hard path it did run but trying to keep it on the path was a chore.
Needless to say, I’m in no rush to try it in the water now because I don’t want to see it fail another promise and sink!
On the driveway it was awesome – steers easily – goes fast, and is very rugged. When the snow melts we’ll try it on the grass and I think it should go well there as well.
