I can’t remember if I got this for Lillian in 2006 or 2007 or 2008 … she’s had them for YEARS. And she still reads them, going through the illustrations to find the objects (do you remember WHERE’S WALDO books? same thing here), but there are dozens of other little dramas and stories going on all over the pages of each book. I think I had books like this when I was a kid … huge detailed illustrations of crowd scenes (or cutaways of castles and such) with a little "scene" happening in every available spot. That’s what keeps my daughter coming back to the books. There is unending enjoyment in finding new things. I think I spent $9.95 for these books at a warehouse store, and she gets more enjoyment and entertainment out of these than things that cost me ten times as much. If your child likes books (picture books or just reading books), try this set. The coated pages are pretty rugged, too.
